The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) participated as a panelist in a discussion on the topic “How Thai Businesses Are Adapting to the Global Warming Reduction Context”.

On April 25, 2024, Dr. Suwanit Boonyasuwat, Vice Chairman of the BCG Model Working Group, was assigned by the Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) to participate as a speaker in a panel discussion on the topic “Thai Businesses Adapting to the Global Warming Reduction Context” at the event “Go Green 2024: The Ambition of Thailand,” organized by Krungthep Turakij at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel.

The Go Green 2024: The Ambition of Thailand event was organized as an important platform to raise awareness and enhance understanding of Thailand’s environmental situation under the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and the net zero greenhouse gas emissions target by 2065. These goals represent significant challenges for Thailand, requiring all sectors — including the government, public agencies, private organizations, and the general public — to urgently adapt and prepare for rapidly changing circumstances.

In particular, new international trade regulations are being continuously enforced by various countries and regions, which Thailand cannot avoid. Therefore, it is essential that all relevant sectors work together to drive the country toward achieving its carbon neutrality and net zero emission targets, in order to enhance Thailand’s economic competitiveness in the future.
